Preserving the Verandah House's Rich Civil War Heritage
Thanks to the care, and later generosity of the Curlee family, the Verandah House survives today as an important historic landmark, with both local and national significance. Over the last two decades, much work has gone into resolving serious structural issues. Thorough research and planning have produced several excellent documents to guide the future preservation and interpretation of the house as funds become available. Links below will take you to the Verandah House Master Interpretive Plan and the Verandah House Historic Furnishings Plan, both prepared in 2014.
